Programme for more psychosocial health of nursing home residents: test run starts
29.09.22 – More and more care facilities are building on health promotion and prevention to promote the well-being and quality of life of their residents. This is provided for by the german Prevention Act of 2015. Another programme developed by care experts is now about to be tested. Pharmaceuticals: average increase in expenditure from 2009 to 2021 below the mean value of all SHI benefit expenditure
26.09.22 – Current analyses by the IGES Institute provide in-depth insights into the developments of pharmaceutical expenditure in the past years. They show that pharmaceuticals were not an above-average expenditure driver compared to other service areas of the SHI. Increases in expenditure due to innovative new drugs were offset by savings in existing drugs. The most important driver of expenditure increases was the rising consumption of medicines. » Details
